Certificates of Deposit

Certificates of Deposits are a savings account that pays a stated interest rate on a fixed principal amount over a specific period of time. Customers who desire a higher return on their money often choose a Certificate of Deposit. With a CD, you agree to invest your money for a predetermined amount of time (term). Advantage Community Bank offers several terms of investment to accommodate your short term and long term needs. Your interest rate is based on the term you choose and current market rates. We offer several options for receiving the interest you earn. Certificates of Deposit are FDIC insured deposits which offer safety and peace of mind.

  • A variety of terms and interest-payment choices with low minimum-deposit requirements; short-term and long-term investments.
  • Interest earned on your CD can be added on to the CD or transferred to an ACB savings, money market or checking account.
  • Use your CD as loan collateral.
  • Automatically renew your CD at maturity to keep your money growing!
  • An excellent way to save for college tuition, house down payment, or any special purchase.

Notice of Changes in Temporary FDIC Insurance
Coverage for Transaction Accounts

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts.
